To add to this delightful experience we lost a door key. We rang the pub when we got home to check if it had been found there although we didn’t know for sure where we had lost it. James even searched where we had been parked. Unfortunately the key wasn’t found but what great service I can’t recommend The World’s End enough ”

Food – 4/5 The menu at The World’s End offers a tempting range of pub classics with a touch of refinement. I went for the fish and chips, one of the staple dishes I always use to measure a pub’s kitchen. Presentation was excellent, with a golden, crispy battered fillet perched atop a generous portion of chunky chips, served with mushy peas and tartar sauce. The flavor was there—fresh fish, perfectly seasoned batter—but the texture of the fish leaned slightly too far on the crispy side. While some might enjoy that extra crunch, it did slightly dry out the fish and detracted from the overall dish. That said, the chips were excellent, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the peas and sauce were well-balanced. Other dishes spotted at nearby tables looked equally appealing, and I’d certainly be eager to try more on a return visit. Service – 5/5 Service at The World’s End was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. Our server struck the perfect balance of being professional yet personable, and we were never left waiting too long for drinks, food, or the bill. It’s always a pleasure to be looked after by a team that clearly enjoys their work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. “ Found this large welcoming pub by accident. Plenty of parking spaces Several real ales on offer. Several people were eating, and the food looked good and reasonably priced. The walls are covered with old hunting and fishing pictures, and there are a couple of open fires. If you're in the area worth a visit. ”

“ (Visited 24/5/25) This place gets an 11/10. For everything a pub should be, this is- and more! The most impressive and stand out aspect was the staff and service. Even on a busy Saturday evening, you didn't see an ounce of stress. The exact opposite. Only aiming to please. The food was exceptional. Not one thing wrong. And giving the amount of covers on, this was all the more impressive. We visited twice in the same day, opposing the other local choice to come back for dinner here. And we asked to speak with the duty manager before we left just to say what a perfect experience we had had. All down to the professionalism and natural flare of their staff. They are a credit to you. Highly recommend! ”

“ Visited the worlds end for a spontaneous meal out, I went for the pie and girlfriend the veg tart with added chips. Very tasty food and a good selection of wines! Service from our waiter was excellent and served with a bubbly smile. The bar and snug area is a lovely place to relax with a beer. We'll be visiting again ”
